Goodo

For participants, carers and nominees

Real people. Real experience. Providers who have been checked.

Goodo is where you can watch and share short videos about life with the NDIS, ask questions, join groups and find events, with control over who can contact you.

What you can do on Goodo

Your badge

Participants and carers earn a badge by showing who they are and their link to the NDIS. You can get one without sharing your plan documents if a verified plan manager or support coordinator vouches for you.

What you will need

To get your badge you need:

  • A government ID for a quick identity check. We keep the result, never the ID or your date of birth.
  • An NDIS plan cover page or a portal screenshot showing your name, NDIS number and plan dates, or a vouch from a verified plan manager or support coordinator.
  • If you are a nominee, carer or family member: a short declaration of your relationship to the participant.
  • To be 16 or older.

Ground rules

  • Only film people who say yes. Do not film someone who is upset or in a private moment.
  • Do not share private details such as addresses or NDIS numbers.
  • Providers cannot offer you gifts, discounts or payments to choose them, and cannot pay for a badge.
  • Plan managers and support coordinators must disclose when they could benefit from what they recommend.

Questions

Do I have to show my NDIS plan?

You can show plan evidence, or be vouched for by a verified plan manager or support coordinator who knows you through their work. Plan evidence files are deleted 30 days after a decision.

Can I use Goodo without posting?

You can look around without a live badge, but posting, groups and role-restricted spaces need one.

Can I get help from someone I trust to set up my account?

Yes. You can ask a friend, carer or advocate to help. Nominees and carers have their own Verified carer or nominee badge.

Will providers be able to find where I live?

No. Location is off by default. If you turn it on you enter a postcode only, others see a distance range, and providers cannot search for participants near them.

Goodo is independent

Goodo is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, run by or endorsed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Join a community where everyone is verified
